Los Bravos
Heads up to the WFMU blog for turning me onto some really cool video clips of the Franco-era, Spanish group Los Bravos. You already know "Black is Black" but the group, which featured the German-born vocalist Mike Kennedy (probably not his real name), had a fistful of gritty garage rock "shoulda been hits" that combined great English-language vocals with enough Euro-sleaze to "rock the 60s hard."
